PROJECTS UNDERWAY

EPA Grant Program

Staff submitted a Work Plan revision to EPA on September 23, 2008 and received approval on October 3, 2008.  The focus of the Work Plan is to complete the CEQA process.  No NEPA projects have been defined in the Work Plan.  The Work Plan outlines the technical studies necessary for design and construction of a recharge facility in the Reche Basin, a Groundwater Management Plan for Conjunctive Use in the Reche Basin and hydrogeologic investigations needed to further explore the Johnson Valley Groundwater Basin.

Memorandum of Agreement for cost sharing with other entities is dependent on the approval of the “Strawman” for Ames Means Groundwater Management and Conjunctive Use Plan.  Staff expects to bring the “Strawman” back to the Board in December for further consideration.  Strawman was delayed from October goal due to other priorities and cancellation of Planning/Legislative/Engineering/Grant/Security Standing Committee meeting in October.

Draft Project Description has been finalized.  Biological surveys have been completed and a draft report has been received.

Meter Replacement Program

To date a total of 244 meters were exchanged with daily continued progress.

Integrated Regional Wastewater Management Plan Activities
